Futsal FAQ

  1. What is Futsal? Please see our page “The Game of Futsal”

  2. Why does Beadling have a Futsal Academy? Please see our pages “Futsal Academy Description” and “The Game of Futsal”

  3. What is included in annual dues? Coaching, Court rental – Practices, 10 Futsal Trainings, League entry Fees, 1 Local Tournament, Referee Fees

  4. What is not Included in annual dues? Personal equipment, Extra Tournaments, Regionals, Nationals

  5. Do we need to purchase new futsal uniforms? No, Beadling Futsal Academy players will wear their regular outdoor uniforms for games and training.

  6. Will Beadling hold futsal tryouts? No, all Beadling players can participate in the Futsal Academy

  7. Can Non-Beadling players participate? Currently, Non-Beadling players cannot participate in the Futsal Academy if they reside in another classic soccer club program.

  8. Can there be more than one team per age group? Yes

  9. How are teams declared if more than one team exist for an age group? The head coaches for each age group will decide on player placement during pool training in the beginning of the season.

  10. Will there be pool training if there is more than one team? The coaching director and head coaches will work together to decide if pool training is the best option for each age group.

  11. How are coaches assigned to teams? The coaching director will work with the Beadling staff of futsal coaches to make the best decision for each age group.

  12. What league will we play in? Total Futsal League (totalfutsal.us)

  13. How many training sessions? Each player will have at least 10 training sessions that they can attend.

  14. What tournaments will we play in? The coaching director will work with each head coach to determine the best tournament option for each team.

  15. Can we play in the State Cup? Beadling Futsal Academy will strive to place one team in each age group. The coaching director and head coach will make the final decision if the state cup is right for your team.

  16. Can we go to regionals if we win the futsal state cup? Yes, as we will be encouraging our teams to play in the futsal regionals. Please note that the futsal regionals will be an extra cost to teams that attend. This also holds true for Futsal Nationals.

  17. What tournaments are available if we don’t participate in state cup? The coaching director and head coach will guide each team to local, competitive tournaments.

  18. Can Beadling players play for other futsal clubs if they do not choose Beadling’s Futsal Academy? All players can choose any futsal club to play for but, we highly recommend attending the Beadling Futsal Academy due to the quality of staffing, developmental tools available, and no conflicts with other Beadling programs.

  19. Can I just do futsal training? Yes, but the cost currently will be the same as the entire program

  20. Can I Just do futsal games? No, Beadling Futsal Academy is designed to use futsal as a developmental tool for each player that participates. We believe that just participating in the games will no reflect what our academy was developed to achieve.

  21. How long is the program? Nov – Feb

  22. When/Where are practices? Currently scheduled for Fridays, Greentree Sportplex: 600 Iron City Dr #4349, Pittsburgh, PA 15205

  23. When/Where are League games? Currently the Total Futsal League resides at three locations. Cool Springs, Pro Sports Monroeville, and PISA during the weekend

  24. What is Beadling Futsal Curriculum? Beadling Futsal Academy is aligned with our exclusive partner, the DC United MLS Development Academy, and will integrate the principles of their Futsal partner ‘The Brazilian Way’ into our Beadling Futsal Academy.

  25. Are there futsal Scholarships? Beadling’s motto is that no player is turned away because of financial difficulties. Please contact us for more information.
